VP of Global Marketingat our office in Toledo, Ohio
The candidate is responsible for for leading the global marketing efforts for orthopedic implantable devices. The VP Marketing is responsible for the global implant strategy and will drive the business on a global basis.
The candidate will be responsible for developing business area strategies, marketing plans, business insight and market analysis, brand development, innovation strategy, and marketing communications. S/He will work closely with the executive team to achieving revenue and profit targets and increasing shareholder value.
This position will also develop relationships with key customers, opinion leaders, sales professionals and management to obtain and provide technical, professional and managerial support for products to increase awareness and maximize sales and profits.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for US and Global marketing activities for orthopedic implants.
- Leads the definition of development and prepares for implementation and execution of marketing strategies and plans including programs, strategy, events, conventions, advertising, promotion, web, social media, packaging, pricing, forecasting, etc.
- Lead, develop and manage the implantables marketing team.
- Drives and supports revenue growth through marketing and sales strategy development and implementation
- Establishes and leads cross-functional efforts involving Sales, R&D, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Systems and Legal to define, develop, register, manufacture, train and market NovoGro products in the US and around the world
Establish and implement short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, budgets, policies and operating procedures.
- Represent the company at various customer, community and/or business meetings to promote the business.
- Works with sales and R&D functions to develop or indentify new product opportunities and bring them to commercialization.
- Develop relationships with customers, opinion leaders and form internal cross-functional teams to obtain and provide technical, professional and managerial support for our products.
- Participate in international and corporate strategy and business development initiatives
Manages regular product portfolio and inventory analysis.
Qualifications
- A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive marketing experience or equivalent is required. A
minimum of five (5) years of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience is required; additionally, Pharmaceutical or Medical Device experience is very strongly preferred.
- Marketing and brand development experience with healthcare professionals a strong plus.
- Global brand management experience preferred with a demonstrated record of marketing leadership success including integrated communications/advertising delivery, new product launches, business plan development, and/or classical marketing training.
- Prior experience working with market research, advertising agencies and agency management is strongly preferred.
- A demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional and senior management to impact decision-making is required as well as a demonstrated track record in identifying winning consumer insights, growth opportunities, and priorities.
- Prior commercial line management experience with coaching and mentoring skills to develop team members is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience working with Legal, Regulatory and Global partners is preferred.
